Committed to supporting the emergence of new talent and continuing its work in support of contemporary musical composition, the Prince Pierre Foundation founded the Musical Springboard Prize in 2011.
Initially, this prize was awarded to an organization or individual for the quality of their work in support of contemporary music, providing financial support for the development of a new project.
Starting in 2023, the Musical Springboard Prize, which now takes the form of a €6,000 award, will be presented to a young composer under the age of thirty-five for the premiere of one of their works.
It is awarded the two years preceding the triennial Musical Composition Prize.
