Despite their bad reputation, Fanon loves these two guys very much. She feels like they can't hurt her. She thinks she tamed them. They bring life into the house. In any case, her father lives far away with another woman, her mother goes round in circles in the house, even more idle. Fanon is definitely out of high school, they don't want to see her anymore. She is very afraid of the storm, of thunderstorms, and there are a lot of storms right now. When Fanon is with them, she doesn't feel anxious anymore. When they're there, she's reassured. Paolo is a good lover, he introduces her to love.

In the 1970s, fourteen-year-old Fanon lived in a pavilion on the outskirts of Paris. As soon as she has a moment, she rides her moped to meet her friends in the nearby city of HLM. In this other world the rules are quite different. She feels free to smoke, drink, have sex... Disillusioned and rebellious, Fanon gives the feeling of being filled with anger and rage. Why is it bubbling like that?

With a very precise writing, alternating realistic and poetic scenes between the city and nature, Anne Françoise Brillot weaves, through shards of life, the moving portrait of a young teenage girl in revolt.
