" 10 000 Letters, 2008 "
Installation
- Nominated for : The International Prize of Contemporary Art 2009
Work sponsored by Caroline Bourgeois, Curator.
This piece was produced for exhibition of the artist presented to the Plateau / FRAC Ile-de-France. This exhibition is part of a larger project exhibition co-existing that Melik Ohanian has put in place since September 2008. This group exhibition unfolds at the same time, across the city of Paris. This installation is part of the general approach of the artist who questions our relationship to space and time. It lets us see the letters forming a fragment of thought of the philosopher Bergson, offering only to imagine, to guess. It also, allows in another time, in the same space or a different space, to learn about the sentence, to listen to this thought thanks to a vinyl recording engraved with this sentence.
