Morad Montazami is a historian of modern and contemporary art, PhD at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris) and followed a teaching course at l'École des Beaux-arts (Bourges, Toulouse). He is the author of several articles in anthologies like Face au réel. Ethique de la forme dans l'art contemporain (2008) or Luciano Fabro Habiter l'autonomie ( 2010). He has also published works on the artists Jordi Colomer, Jeremy Deller, Philippe Bazin, Peter Watkins, Eric Baudelaire, Juan Downey, Alan Sekula, Walid Raad, Otolith Group, Zineb Sedira ...
He is also chief editor of the review Zaman (Texts, images & documents), which offers a post-orientalist study space, participating in the emergence of equipment and corpus needed to study the cosmopolitan modernity - especially at the crossroads of the Middle East and Europe.
