Le Coup de coeur des lycéens
Created in 2007, this prize is awarded by students from the High Schools in the principality from a range of works meeting the same criteria as the Bourse de la Découverte.
A truly educational initiative set in place by the Monaco Department of National Education, Youth and Sport, the aim of this project was to raise student awareness of the world of publishing and contemporary literature. Guided by their literature teachers, and in the framework of the section of the curriculum devoted to "Reading, Writing and Publishing Today", the students draw up their own selection of first novels. Following the announcement on May 6th of the nominees for the 2009 Bourse de la Découverte, the books in competition were distributed to the student volunteers who are to meet in September to elect the winner from among the two selections taken together. The Student "Coup de cœur" prize, worth 5000€, will be officially presented in October during a ceremony announcing the winners of this Fondation Prince Pierre award. The students will be invited to take part in the different events organised on this occasion.  |
