fondation prince pierre de monaco

In 1924, Prince Pierre founded the Société de Conférences in Monaco, which received Paul Valéry, Darius Milhaud, Joseph Kessel and Sacha Guitry among his first speakers.

The Prince Pierre Foundation, now presided by Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and created in 1966 by Prince Rainier III in tribute to her father, has organized an annual conference season until 2016.

These meetings have allowed the public to attend interventions by renowned specialists in fields as diverse as news, arts, literature, history and science.

In 2017, the Prince Pierre Foundation offers a new way of meeting with the public. The traditional conferences are replaced by a thematic cycle of meetings and debates, organized in a convivial space, different for each season.
